In outlook, click file, and select import and export

Select export to a file, then click next

Select PST then click next

Select personal folders (highlighted blue) and ensure that there is a tick in the include subfolders box, then click next

Click the browse button and save the file to C:\backup.pst

Ensure that the replace duplicates option is selected

Click Finish

You will see another window, click OK

You may see some progress bars going past, just wait till they finish, and then close outlook.

Click Start-Control panel

Locate and open mail

You will see a window like this, click on show profiles

Click the add button

Type your name and click OK

You will be asked to Enter your email account details, put a tick in manually configure, and click next

Select internet email and click next

Enter your account details and click next

Click finish

Make sure your name is highlighted, and click properties

Click on data files

Click Add

Select the top option

Click ok

Browse to my computer and locate the backup file you saved, earlier in C:\backup.pst

At the next window, click OK

Highlight the one you just made, and click set as default

You will see this window, click OK

Click Close

And again…, then click OK

Close the control panel(if still open) and try to use the features of outlook that were missing.
